Booking Terms

We invoice all summer accommodation reservations in full in advance. A booking becomes binding for both parties once the invoice has been paid. If the reservation is made less than 10 days before arrival, the invoice must be paid immediately, and you should be prepared to present proof of payment if requested. All online bookings are confirmed by email.

The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old. Minors must have the consent of a guardian. The names and contact details of guardians must be provided to our reception either in advance or at the latest upon check-in.

Cancellation Terms

Cancellations must always be made by email, by phone, or by logging into our online system with your password if the booking was made through our website and the arrival date is more than 10 days away.

  • If less than 10 days remain before arrival: advance payments are non-refundable.
  • If more than 10 days remain before arrival: 50% of the total booking price will be charged.
  • If cancellation is made more than 21 days before arrival: the full accommodation fee will be refunded.
  • If the reservation is not cancelled: the full price will be charged.

The booking can be rescheduled to another date free of charge, subject to availability. We recommend taking out travel insurance in case of sudden illness or other compelling reasons affecting travel plans.

The reserved accommodation must be taken over by 8:00 PM on the day of arrival. If the guest does not arrive by 8:00 PM or fails to notify us of a later arrival in advance, the accommodation provider reserves the right to cancel the booking. In such cases, payments will not be refunded, and the accommodation may be resold.

Payment Terms

Payments are processed by Paytrail Oyj (Business ID: 2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and financial institutions. Paytrail Oyj will appear as the payment recipient on your bank or card statement and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is a licensed payment institution.

Arrival and Stay

Cabins and Seaside caravan pitches are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 12:00 PM on the day of departure. Standard caravan and tent pitches can be checked into at any time during reception opening hours (unless otherwise stated), and must be vacated by 3:00 PM.

If you are unable to arrive by 8:00 PM, please notify us in advance, preferably by email at myynti@kalajokicamping.fi. If the guest departs earlier than agreed, the full price for the unused period will still be charged.

Final cleaning is included in the accommodation price; however, dishes must be washed and garbage disposed of. Bed linen can be rented from reception for €12 per set. A pet fee of €20 per booking applies to cabins and is payable upon check-in. Pets are not allowed in 3- and 4-person cabins with toilets or in seaside apartments.

General Terms

If a guest violates campsite rules or fails to follow staff instructions, the campsite reserves the right to terminate the booking immediately without refund. The guest is responsible for maintaining the condition of the accommodation during their stay. The campsite is not responsible for issues caused by third parties. Any costs resulting from damages or violations will be charged to the guest.

All complaints regarding equipment or accommodation conditions must be reported immediately during the stay to reception. If issues are not reported during the stay, the guest forfeits the right to any compensation.

Reselling or subletting a caravan pitch to a third party without explicit permission from the campsite is strictly prohibited.

If Camping Hiekkasärkät Oy is forced to cancel a reservation due to force majeure (including natural disasters, war, official regulations, or pandemics), the full accommodation fee will be refunded. No other costs incurred by the guest will be compensated.

Camping Hiekkasärkät Oy is not liable for damages caused by unforeseeable force majeure events beyond its reasonable control.
